Los Osos Training

When the COVID-19 quarantine started, my coach, Young Lee and I started doing daily zoom meetings where we worked out and I started learning some design software. After about two weeks of consistent training and learning, the opportunity came up for a photo and video shoot and some riding at Willow Springs International Raceway.  Just prior to the trip, my parents, Young and I thought it would be good to get away from the monotony of being locked up at home & to continue training with him in Los Osos, where he lives with M1GP coach, Troy Mack and his friend Julie.

It was nice to take a break from being cooped up at home. We had plenty to do: continued our training, just in-person vs. over ZOOM, running to the local bay (which also included some sprint races), painting with a local and famous painter, Tracy Taylor, who actually came and gave me a personal painting lesson!
I also ate a lot healthier during the visit than I normally do, so that was good. For fun, we also took turns playing music, while doing design work and even had some time for a video game that I really like, called Skyrim. 🙂

The weather was really nice, as the house is just a few blocks from the ocean and a lot of nature surrounds the neighborhood. The last day, our friends, the Mengs came to pick me up and Mack took me and Haydn for a kayak ride across the bay.  We didn’t do all that we planned to do (a cooking contest, surfing, bicycling, hiking and more moto-training), but overall, it was a fun and productive experience.
